The beat on “AssShots” is heavy, hard hitting, and littered with bass. One of my favorite lines is “Summer looking like son of Sam, I’m killing niggas.” That line is straight fire and if you don’t understand it then you’re basic and need to go on. Childish Gambino once again delivers a track covered in word play. My personal favorite song on the Mixtape is titled “AssShots”. The two beats blend well with each which make it easy to listen to. It sort of seems like the song is more of a freestyle than an actual written song. The quality of the lyrics isn’t what I’ve come to expect from Childish. He spits some witty wordplay which he has become known for over the years. The intro track (which is technically 3 tracks in 1) has Childish Gambino spittin over a Ludacris beat. Despite DJ Drama’s ad-libs the Mixtape has a handful of good tracks. The Mixtape STN MTN /KAUAI is Bino’s first release since his hit album Because The Internet.įirst off, the Mixtape is hosted by DJ Drama so be prepared for his annoying voice yelling all over the beginning of songs. Recently, Childish Gambino dropped a free Mixtape out of the blue.
